Can't rename marker track

When I created this track, I named it “Sections”. At some point, I loaded the project and noticed it had been renamed to “MIDI”. When I double click the name, re-type it, press enter, it always reverts back to “MIDI”.

So, I deleted the track, and added another. Oddly, the new one was already named “MIDI” and contained all my markers. Can’t get rid of this thing.

Any suggestions?


iMac, OS/X 10.11.5, Cubase Elements 9.0.0

Pretty strange. I’ve never had that happen and not sure I would be able to reproduce it. Might be session data corruption? I imagine you don’t get the same behavior in a new blank session.
