Can't search VST by Vendor in MixConsole or Left Zone

Search the VST by Vendor name doesn’t work - it showed vendor category but didn’t show VST inside

Reproduce:

  1. Open MixConsole (F3) or LeftZone (Ctrl Alt C)
  2. Try to insert a new VST and write the Vendor name, for example, “steinberg”
  3. You will see a lot of categories, but they all will be empty

The search field is for plug-in names afaik, not the name of the vendors.

Also, this is not how you spell Steinberg.

I don’t need to know all the names for all the plugins that I bought, I know the name of the company that created them but I can’t search by the Vendors name…It’s 2024 year.

I understand what you’re saying. Just that no one at Steinberg would consider this to be a bug. Unfortunately, the only thing left is to add the “feature-request” tag to your forum thread and cross your fingers.

TBH the Cubase plug in manager is one of the best among all DAW.
You can also make your own list.

As well as creating any number of collections, by vendor or otherwise, you can choose to sort the default collection by vendor or category. It’s all about choice in 2024.

Also you can list the same plug-in in multiple folders if you want. For example in both a Compressor folder and a Soundtoys folder.
