Can't select Headphones output in Cubase 10

I am unable to work on my MBP 2018 without an audio interface…

Look at my options on the img… I can’t select headphone output !

Is this normal ?

The built-in audio is the right one in this case, I would say.

no, Since 10.14 (Mojave) Built-in output and external headphones are treated as 2 different devices…

The result, If cubase doesn’t see the external headphones, then I can’t use it.

My workaround, I created an aggregate device in Audio Midi Setup, called “Headphone Dummy” and selected the Headphone Dummy device inside Cubase.
