Hi all,
I am trying to create a percussion part for an orchestra score that plays both pitched and unpitched instruments simultaneously. Under the percussion 1 player, I have a kit for the unpitched percussion and a staff for the glockenspiel. For most of the piece I have only one of the staves playing, but there are a few moments where they both play and I would like to have them bracketed and labeled in the middle with “percussion 1.” At the other moments when they are only playing one pitched or unpitched instruments, I would like to have the staff similarly labeled as “percussion 1.”
I thought that showing the “player name” rather than the “instrument name” might get around this, but this option does now show up in my layout options as is displayed in the reference video. Does this feature not exist anymore or is there something I need to preset to do this?
Alternatively, if there is a better approach to having the occasional two staves for the percussion instruments please advise the best way to do this.
