Can't sleect the right input channel

Hi
I can’t select the right input channel for an audio track except ‘Left - Stereo In’.

Chosing Devices>Device setup…>VST audio system, I can see that Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver is selected as it should. Latency is 21ms/31ms.
Selecting the Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver I can see, that all port states are ‘Inactive’.
Selecting VST System Link and using self test shows that all package fail. Existing that window gives me an alert: ‘VST System Link has been deactivated because of too many errors!!’

My DAW used to work in Windows 8.1 Pro, but now it doesn’t.
I have checked the Windows setting to see if the Focusrite Scarlett audio interface was selected, and it was.

What do I do? I can’t record anything.

Hi - go into VST Connections instead and set up all the ins and outs you want. Then, these will appear as options in the track routing in/out possibilities from the Inspector or the Routing drop down in the MixConsole.

BTW, I don’t see that you don’t need to be messing with VST System Link at all. That’s for connecting multiple computers together via S/PDIF, ADAT etc…
