Can't start Cubase 8 since Windows Creator Update

Hi, Cananyone help please?

Since the last Windows 10 update I cant launch Cubase 8. I’ve completely uninstalled and reinstalled everything (Cubase and elicenser) and reverted windows to no avail. I just get the following:

"Application ‘Cubase / Cubase Artist’ has caused the following error:

An important service has become unresponsive.

Please restart your computer to fix this problem.

Please visit <www.eLicenser.net> to download and install the latest version of the eLicenser Control software in case the problem persists."

Any help appreciated! thanks…

Hi and welcome,

Make sure the latest eLCC version is installed. Install it as an administrator (right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator). Then start is as administrator the same way. Make sure your USB-eLicenser is plugged in to the USB 2.0 port, not USB 3.
