Can't the MIDI fader be used for anything useful?

For the MIDI tracks what is the purpose of the MIDI fader? Does it send CC7? It doesn’t seem to reflect the current CC7 values so it seems like a dummy fader simply occupying space.

Atleast if it were used for CC7 (i.e. sends and receives) it could be used as an actual volume control for VSL/orchestral instruments.

Hi,

The MIDO faders send MIDO CC7. It doesn’t move when you use MIDI CC7 in the track. You can use Volume automation to control its value (and movement).
