If I install and use the drivers from M-Audio and turn DirectLink on in Cubase 7, I can only use it as a Remote Controller.
Is this by design or am I doing something wrong here?
I’ve followed the instructions in the readme for the DirectLink driver, but when I choose it as a MIDI input for a track, I can see the meters popping, but it doesn’t record any MIDI!
So, now I could saved some money on a plain MIDI keyboard without the knobs and buttons, because I do want to use it as both a keyboard and a Controller!
Any ideas?
I must say, I use Mac OS X 10.8 and the DirectLink driver for Cubase is for 10.6 and for Cubase 6, and I’m using Cubase 7…
BUT! There are no new drivers, so I thought maybe they where compatible…
If it is the driver, Steinberg: Please push M-Audio to release new drivers, or make an update that makes the current DirectLink drivers work!
This affects both the Oxygen and Axiom series so it has to be a priority…
