I’m very glad Cantai exists, but I don’t like its handling of dynamics. Is there a simple workaround to prevent a crescendo from occurring when transitioning from pp to ff? Thanks!

you’re right – there isn’t that much technical feedback on the Discord forum. To answer your question – as Cantai responds only to the dynamic lane and not any other controllers, there’s no easy way to compensate for this behaviour. Just in case the Cantai team are not already aware of this, it might be worth raising a ticket.
In the meantime, the closest you’ll get is probably offset the start of the ff passage by the shortest possible time unit (ie 32nd note) in the key editor as illustrated below. This stops the crescendo and the ff only comes in slightly late – probably a better option in this sort of situation.
