I am trying and failing to use the new Cantai in Dorico 6.2.20.6183 on a Mac with Apple silicon. I have gotten as far as adding Cantai VSTs to the rack in Play Mode. The edit window shows “No parts found”, and has been doing so for the last 36 hours. I have tried reinstalling Dorico and Cantai and rebooting, just in case something didn’t load right. I have not found any Cantai sound files in either the Cantai download, or Cantai Installer - Engine + VST - v2.1.0.pkg itself, and no Cantai sound files that I can identify as such show up in /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/VST Sound. I have redownloaded the Cantai installer and tried again with no success. Any Ideas about what to try next?
Just some thoughts…
What playback do you have loaded? And if you are using a dual template (e.g. Cantai with Noteperformer) is Cantai the first in the template list?
And, of course, have you rebooted? 
(That really does help a lot of times!)

I had the same message at first when I clicked on the “Choose a Part” dropdown. Then I clicked on the disclosure triangle itself, and it worked. Don’t ask me why it did that or why that seemed to fix it. I have no idea. Maybe try that? Or not?
It can take a few minutes for it to find the “part”, did you try waiting? occasionally click otherwise wait, or create some other instruments etc.
I would try with a simple song with 1 singer with just a few bars just to establish it is working, if this is not what you have done already.

You should see a ‘Unix Executable File’, 925.8 MB in length, Cantai, in a subdirectory, also Cantai, there…

Good idea to try it with just one part. I did that with Cantai as the only VST, but didn’t have any better luck.
I saw another post somewhere that said it took up to 5 minutes for the parts to load. I gave up on waiting for that after a few hours.

Yes, I do see that Cantai Unix Executable File in that location. So that piece has installed.

(as opposed to /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/VST Sound)?
Both the system’s Library, not users (hence no ~ before the first ‘/, of course’)
And, may we just check, you do consistently see Turing Opera Workshop here, don’t you? Just ‘no parts’ when you try to go further in the routing?
Can you post your file; or the single voice you tested? Just for giggles, I’d like to see if it works for someone else! Maybe there’s something in your setup…

Thanks! I went ahead and set up my one voice file in the Track Inspector and then (and only then) was I able to select a voice for it in the VST/Midi tab. I’ll try that in other files now . . . yes that seems to work.
