Casn't see to grasp how to get Groove Agent to talk to Cubas

I can play all kinds of cool patterns in Groove Agent, but can’t seem to get those Ideas into Cubase so I can actually build on them with my guitars and keys and vocals. I am in green and learning stage on all but basic Cubase stuff. I recently upgraded to 8.5 Pro from LE5 so there is a huge difference in how everything seems to work. I also purchased Groove agent 4.2.0 and Simon Phillips. I guess I just need some tutoring on how to get it all working for me.
