Hi, I’m using the jazz handwritten music font
In a piano staff I need to use the treble clef in the left hand staff. Why does the cautionary treble clef shows up in the traditional “non handwritten” font?
Thanks!

Clef changes are provided by different symbols that are optional glyphs in SMuFL, so mapping them between different fonts is non-trivial (though it should really work for Dorico’s built-in fonts). You can go to Library > Music Symbols, choose the Clefs category, and then edit e.g. the G clef (small) symbol to use an appropriate clef from your chosen music font.
Thanks a lot @dspreadbury
Oddly enough if I choose the treble 8va clef, it behaves correctly:
(btw, your suggestion worked, thanks!)
The correct clef will also be used if you set the Clef Change size to 19/25ths,
… at which point it will scale the ‘normal’ clef, rather than try to use a different one.
It only works for Bravura, currently.
it did work with the jazz 8va treble clef though for some reason…
Yes, because there isn’t a separate “small G8 clef” glyph, so Dorico uses the default G8 clef.
