Cautionary time signature at end of repeat

I have a repeat structure where the primo ends with a different time signature than the start of the repeat. I would like to show a cautionary time signature just before the end repeat barline to remind the player that the first bar is in a different time signature than the last. Proofreading also warns me about this but I don’t know how to fix it.

Welcome to the forum, @woutervandaele!

You can use the caret, to enter the key signature between the last note and the repeat barline.

Sorry for my confusing question, I’m not a native English speaker. What I meant with time signature was meter, not key signature. If I add a meter, it will change the number of beats in that bar or even add additional bars.

Ooops sorry, I misread your post!

So, what you would like is this?

I think the best way is to enter the cautionnary C as a text, either with “Insert Music Symbol” in the text editor, or with a font like MusGlyphs, and to hide the real one.

I don’t think that’s possible without using MusGlyphs or similar, and inserting as text. Possibly an inside staff Line with the 4/4 as an annotation.

What I intended it to look like is something like this:

So it can only be done graphically (using something like MuseGlyphs)?

I think so.

You can move the c from the next bar in Engrave mode.

But in case of a system break at this place, I think it doesn’t work very well…

Maybe Musglyphs won’t work since that’s Bravura glyphs?

@jesele is right, MusGlyphs doesn’t provide the kind of font you’re using.

But you can use the text editor, right click, choose Insert Music Text, and then use whatever font you want.

After some fiddling with this I opted to go for the inside staff line solution. For that I created the cautionary time signature as a line annotation and use it as an end cap for my line style. This yielded some result, after changing the spacing in engrave mode I get something looking like this:

However, when there is music in the bar, it collides with the line graphics and I can’t find a way to automatically create space for it by avoiding collisions. E.g, in the parts I get this:

What’s the best way to make sure dorico avoids such collisions automatically so that I don’t need to manually make all those engraving adjustments?

How did you position the glyph inside the staff? Did you use manual engraving adjustments?
