[CB-4475] Audio track disappears after crash Cubasis ios

I recently created a project in Cubasis.

Track 1: synthmaster one (freeze)
Track 2: Sunrizer (freeze)
Track 3: classic machine bass drum
Track 4:classic machine snare drum
Track 5: classic machine hi hat
Track 6:Guitar (Audio track)
Track 7: Guitar (Audio track)
Track 8: Guitar (Audio track)

All playing fine, pressed stop (play on Cubasis)
When I pressed to play project again light sounding click, Cubasis crashed (closed itself)
When I reopened Cubasis track 7 Guitar Audio had deleted/disappeared?
It was not in the media bay, nor the trash, took me a few hours to get to this stage and was very disappointed at this…
I think this needs to be reviewed in order for it to work without these issues.

If you spend time & effort in creating a project to be let down by the app crashing and loosing
Part of your work it is then time to seek other means, I am not putting Cubasis down in any way, it’s a great app but does have its issues.

I only hope the next update will fix any on going issues.

We’re sorry to hear that!

Unfortunately, the use of external instruments and/or effects apps - depending on the apps in use - can lead to unforeseeable issues, unrelated to Cubasis.

Please provide us with a detailed bug report, to have the issue evaluated by our team. Additionally please provide us with the project, and a short clip that visualises the issue.

Hi Lars,
I thought that once a track was frozen it then becomes an audio track therefore the third party app ie: Synthmaster one is no longer running as an AUv3

It will be difficult to add a screenshot or video as this is a random issue, I have sent a bug report for the crash

If I try to reproduce it again there is no guarantee it would crash,
I click on play and Cubasis closed, upon reopen the Guitar track had gone,
I create many projects using guitar and seldom have this issue, but when you spend 2-3 hours and this happens it is extremely frustrating

I will re-send bug report in the hope that there maybe a way round this issue happening again

Thanks for the crash report which I’ve shared with our engineering.

Unfortunately, most of the time a clear repro is required to analyse the cause of an issue.
As stated before, using third party instruments/effects apps can lead to unforeseeable issues, unrelated to Cubasis as well.

Looking at your track name list I’m seeing that it could also be related to what I discovered here
