Hi, before installation do i uninstall previous version? i installed 8.5 but lots of things are not working, ie, plugins and vst instruments saying files are missing, so uninstall previous and reinstall new 8.5?

No, uninstalling shouldn’t be necessary. The previous version is installed in another folder.
Make sure your Cubase Pro 8.5 installer is unzipped, also try running it as administrator and temporarily disabling the realtime scan of your antivirus software if you’re using one.
