Hi All,
Been using CB Pro 14 so far without a hitch. There are however 2 features that I seem to be missing and wondered if they need to be enabled somewhere.
I used to be able to just grab and drag a track in the mixer section to another track to overlay all the same settings as the original track. Now, when I attempt to do that, it just moves the position of the original track instead of copying the settings to the second track. Is there something that needs to be enabled for this? The only other option I see is to right click on the original track so I can copy and paste the settings to the second track. Definitely a slower work flow.
In the audio parts, there used to be a little square on the top at mid point where you could click onto and drag downward to change the volume of that part. It’s no longer there on my version of Pro 14. Again, can I enable that somewhere?
Thanks for the hit!
That’s too bad about that feature change for that copy and paste. It changes from one grab and drop to four clicks which is definitely a workflow squelcher. Four times the involvement.
How is that a feature?
As far as the gain node, thanks for the link. I had just figured that out right before I read your post.
I believe a lot of users wanted to be able to rearrange tracks in the mixer. I think it affects users with smaller screens, because larger screens can accommodate both projects and mixer windows open at the same time. But I’m just guessing…
I get that with the smaller screens … I thought that’s what the lower screen feature was for, so you can multitask. Like other users have mentioned, it would be more convenient for all if that option was choosable in the preferences. That way it would serve the uniqueness of more users.
To that effect, Martin Jirsak said people were complaining that there were too many options in the preferences. I think the preferences are well laid out and labeled and you can pretty much go right to the selection you need. If Pro has too many features, maybe it’s too complex for some and they should downgrade to a simpler version.

Just hold down win key while dragging and dropping.
