Hey there,
I want to upgrade my Cubase license. I’m a bit worried that the work I put in setting up Cubase might get lost. Will the settings be preserved? I am particularly worried about losing my setup of the plugin manager, to recreate the order I have established would take a lot of effort and time.
Also will my old projects load up just fine with this upgrade?
Is there any precautions I can take?

Yes the install process looks for previous installations and migrates the settings to the new version. However some folks have had this fail and the settings don’t get migrated. As far as I know no one has figured out what causes this, but it is pretty infrequent. If this occurs it is easy to fix by copying some files, but it most likely won’t happen.
Yes Cubase Projects are both forward and backward compatible.
