when i have imported 1 sample of hat or kick or whatever, when i ctrl+D and later go into Pool Window, there is loads of the samples (No i dont mean the used tab above the window).
This has happened in the past that i recall.

Are you sure those audio files aren’t already in there before you import the one sample?
So that’s your SOLUTION is it, ask a daft question, then close the action that is causing an issue for me and probably others aswell. I’ll find out from somewhere else what the issue is. Great help!
Sorry buddy… what are you saying? That’s not what the person who replied to you did at all. They are trying to help you.
Hi Steve,
He absolutely was being “funny“! I started my post by saying that i imported 1 sample, then XL typed “Are you sure those audio files aren’t already in there before you import the one sample?”! How could they be in there to start with if it’s first time i have Inserted the file.
Just leave it.
Thanks for your reply though Steve
Cheers
Take it that way if you want, but you misinterpret.
It might be helpful for us well-meaning and willing contributors to this forum if you could post a screenshot of your pool and describe your problem in a little more detail. That would also be in your interest, because you obviously expect to be presented with a solution here, right?
When I press Ctrl-d to duplicate an event in the Cubase Project timeline, it creates just another reference (called a “shared copy”) to the same sample in the pool (and the usage counter in the pool window increases).
I’m not in my studio at the moment, so I can’t check - but is there a Cubase preference setting that makes “real copies” of duplicated audio events, thus adding extra copies in the pool?
Cubase Help:
If you duplicate audio events, the copies always refer to the same audio clip.
