CB8 Improved Automation? Almost...

I know that we should be grateful for what Steinberg gave us in the new CB 8 pro version (and I personally am as it is generally a great update).

However when the update was out and I saw that the Nuendo’s virgin territories automation is included I was very happy as I (mistakingly) assumed that another feature was also included. The feature I am talking about is the way the DAW behaves when you punch out of an automation pass. In Nuendo, the automation parameter’s value returns to the “static” values whereas in Cubase it remains at the value it was at the moment of punching out. For me this is an extremely important feature/behaviour and I always thought that Nuendo had it right (in my opinion) thanks to the “virgin territories” function. Too bad that I was wrong: Cubase 8 pro brought us the virgin territories but not the “punch out returns to static” functionality :frowning:
