Hello, I’m using Cubase 15 Pro on Mac. When I move my modulation slider (CC 11) on my MIDI controller, the second plugin in my Insert chain automatically opens, regardless of which plugin is in that slot. I’ve checked Key Commands and MIDI Filter settings but can’t find where this binding is. Has anyone encountered this before, or can someone help me trace where CC 11 might be mapped to ‘Open Insert Slot 2’? Thank you.

It really sounds like you either have Midi Remote or Generic Remote assigned to translate Midi CC11 to the Cubase function “open editor slot 2 for selected channel”.

Both files come from the vendor, as far as I can tell. I see that the communication with the remote is done by sysex. So, I see no CC11. Which controller of yours send CC11?
I use “NI Komplete Kontrol” keyboard and also use the slider from “Monogram Creative Console”.
Try opening Studio→Studio Setup and see if you have a Generic Remote Device. If you have one or more), it’s possible that the assignment is there.
This is surely the cause of the trouble. I don’t know why you have this remote in your system, but if you need it to be controlled by a specific device in your setup, you have to set the “MIDI Input” field to the MIDI port of this specific controller. The way you currently have it, it listens to all available ports, thus you experience these things.
