CC controller labeling flexibility

Hi All, I would like to have the option of labeling CC controller as I wish based on the VST I am using, for example CC1 is not always modulation, it could be Dynamics, attack etc based on the instrument. As of now the most common purpose is labeled above the CC number but in some bigger projects where I have CC 20-21-22-23 controlling many things it is hard for me to know which is what for THAT instrument. Thanks
