CD import issues, anyone?

Sometimes Nuendo will not see the contents of an audio CD to import (once in a while I still get CDs!). Sometimes if I reboot it works, but other times not…and it seems somewhat random. Other utilities like WMP import them fine, so I’m not sure what the issue could be. Any others have this experience?

I have seen issues where an ASUS motherboard has issues with importing audio cd. The workaround for me was to use WMP to import.

I have had this issue in the past, with no consistency or observable trend. I use FreeRIP, and then import as an audio file.

CD ripping works here but not perfectly.
The controls at the top of the window are not available (sort of greyed out)
The speed setting shows no info and I can’t change it to anything.

It does work though, 99% of the time.

I know that in previous versions of Nuendo, the problem was often the wnaspi32.dll file, with these 2 threads mentioning it:

However I’m not sure if it’s still relevant to N6.

Good luck!

It also seems top be drive dependent.
I have 2 optical drives in my rig, an LG M-Disc compatible DVD-RW and a Sony Optiarc BD-RW.
CD import works off the LG but not off the Sony.
