I’m having trouble figuring out how to globally center chords and chord diagrams above notes. In the first picture, the chords are centered above the notes as I wish them to be (and as they are set in Engraving Options). In the second picture, with chord diagrams added, the chord symbols and diagrams shift to the right, even though the Properties panel says they are centered. Is there a way to globally center the chords and chord diagrams when the diagrams are turned on?
On the advice from someone in a Facebook comment, I just updated to 5.1.70, which fixed this issue…sort of. As shown in this screen shot, it looks like Dorico takes the fret markers into account when centering the diagram, which looks strange. The diagrams without fret markers look good now. I didn’t find an option to only consider the “box” when centering the diagram. (Maybe the option exists, but I haven’t found it yet.) It was easy enough to drag some of these diagrams in place in Engrave Mode, but it would be nice to have the boxes automatically center themselves above the notes without having to drag them.
Indeed, it would be nice. This is on our backlog as something that requires further improvement.
