By default, the Messa di voce inflection point seems to center on the sides of the notehead.
Is there an Engraving Option to have it center on the middle of the note head?
I am having to adjust each one in the Properties Panel from 1/2 to 13/32 to get the result shown:

But can we be the only ones who center pairs of swell hairpins (AKA messa di voce) on the peak (the notehead) of the swell?
I certainly hope we aren’t.
I personally use “<>” very sparsely and only when I’m 100% they behave as I want them to.
Otherwise I use two separate < and > and move them in Engrave mode as (and if) necessary. Much less frustration.
You’re not. I even created a playing technique with <> for some Haydn music that was filled with it…
That has been my approach as well. So far it appears that there is no option to center them automatically. This capability would be welcome.
I should do the same to care of the small ones that are placed on single notes.
