I have two computers which I switch between to work on projects Both are identical (clones), the file paths are all the same. Cubase doesn’t recognize certain plugins when going from computer A to B. When I open projects on computer B with Spaces II or Ozone that I worked on on computer A, I get the error in the attached image.
I then need to reinsert the plugins (Cubase obviously recognizes them , since I can add them after I open the project). If there are sends, I need to create them again. This causes a lot of hassle. I am not sure what to do, since the VST paths are the same. Does anyone know what is going on?
I will only be able to a bit later, but the computers are clones of each other and the file paths are 100% the same. The only thing that changes between them (sometimes) is the ilok used
There are three paths, the dll files are in the VST3 folder and the vstplugins folder. Yes, they are installed, I can add them to projects without problem, they just get removed initially when going from one computer to another
Could it be an ilok thing? Both computers have a separate ilok (although often I use the same ilok on both computers). What do you mean by
Licensing problem?
Just meaning that maybe not all of the plugins are licensed on both computers. Maybe some of the plugins use licensing methods other than ilok and are only licensed on one or other computer?
The download assistant didn’t fix it, but there is another development. We have a third computer (many computers) at our studio. The projects open fine on this one (computer C) and computer A. Computer B (and a few others) cause problems, but I can’t find any differences between them. All the computers are clones of each other and are on the same network. They each have individual iloks with the licenses.
