CHANGE Channel on a VST Isntrument

I have a plugin (MUSIO) with a few sounds loaded on different channels.

How can I force DORICO to switch Midi channel during play on the same instrument / staff (a bit like a keyboard player changing sounds during a performance)?

Use a different voice for each instrument (turn voice colour on, so that you see what you’re doing) enable independent voice in Play mode, and give each voice the instrument you want

Or an alternative to @MarcLarcher’s independent voices solution. Use a switch in an expression map together with a custom playing/playback techniques.
