I’m wondering if it is possible to change the default paragraph style text for when you create a new system-attached or staff-attached text.
It’s not a big deal, but I’m creating section labels for a score right now, and it would be nice if I didn’t have to change the paragraph style every single time I make a new section label.
You can’t change the default, but you can assign key commands to your own paragraph styles – as long as those styles are saved as user defaults (the star button in the paragraphs styles dialog).
I have an italic style I use for Expressive Text, and I defined a key command (in Preferences > Key Commands) that will let me use that directly, the same way that Shift+X uses Default Text.
