I’m needing this kind of notehead as shown in the picture please. I’ve used the slash notation style noteheads, by going to edit > notations > notehead > slashes > small slash noteheads, but they’re too thick for my liking. Is there anyway to make that type of notehead thinner in style? I have tried everything that I know how to do! Thanks so much for your help in advance!
You can edit the underlying notehead sets in Library > Notehead Sets.
I’ve tried that, but every time I change a certain notehead to a different font, nothing happens in my score or parts. I honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
Which notehead set are you editing? Have you assigned that set in the score? Note the duration assignment in the dialog for each one.
These questions will get us closer to figuring out the problem, but posting a project will be a lot more efficient.

I’ve even created my own notehead category and nothing wants to work.
that’s because none of the slots for the diamond chartacter have been changed or edited to be the Maestro glyph. once that is created, reset the appearence of the current altered noteheads and then reapply the change. you can compare the settings in this file

What do you mean? Can you please walk me through this step by step? I’m fairly new to Dorico.
