In WL13 Alt Key has to be used to move whole envelope up or down, while in all previous versions they could be moved by clicking anywhere on the envelope.
I notice certain improvements relating to workflow in WL13 relating to moving parts of envelope.
If there was a way to move the envelope up and down without the Alt Key + Click
For Example -
A small fader popping up on right click of envelope.
Envelope Smoothing
Is it possible to bypass or exclude the pop-up window for envelope smoothing?
The change is a carefully chosen decision. Because it appears that in most cases, users prefer to use a simple and direct way to modify the segment between two points rather than the whole envelope. Note that if your envelope is the default one, that is to say, without an intermediary handle, then this is a single segment, and it can be moved without the Alt Key.
Sorry that it changes your habits.
Yes, indeed, it would be better to have a quick pop-up window instead of a message.
I agree there are benefits to this change, even though it works different than every other version of WL.
The Alt + Moving is acceptable; this is something to get used to. A fader would still be good looking into.
I see you have moved Smoothing to the Ribbon now.
If there was an option within the clip to activate Envelope Smoothing, it would have been even better. This way, users can avoid using Ribbon to activate envelope smoothing for every clip.
The Ribbon can be used to activate smoothing for All Clips or Selected Clips.
Anyone who use smoothing has to know how it works than WL having to remind them over and over with a pop-up message. In that context, a notification within the clip may be better.
It would also be nice to have mouse pointer switch to handle icon (one facing up and another facing down) on creating an envelope from selection.
