Using Dorico SE 6.
I’m trying to transpose something. Dorico puts it in Gb but I find it easier to read F#. Is there a way to change it? I found another thread where someone said I could transpose by a diminished 2nd however this is not an option. (Correction, it is in Db and I want it in C#)
It also gave me a double flat when I selected the option telling it not to do that. (why are double flats even a thing??) That is easy to fix manually though.

When I use Write > Transpose set as follows (clicking the Apply button on the right):
…I get:
Doesn’t do that for me. The Apply button is greyed out when I set it that way.
If your key signature in the music is selected, is the Transpose key signatures
box checked?
Have to go “off radar” now, but if that doesn’t help I’m sure someone else will come along to assist further.
Yes. Maybe this just isn’t allowed in the SE version?
You say you want to transpose to a sharp key signature but the file you share is already in C# minor (transposed pitch) or B minor (concert pitch), both of them with sharps.
(Actually, the Key Signatures are respectively E and D major, but it makes no big difference)
So, what are you exactly looking for? It looks like the transposition you are talking about is already done.

Interesting. It is definitely in the flat key in my program.

I have this (transposed pitch):
Maybe I hadn’t saved it. Try this one.

OK !
So, since your concert pitch is B major, your sax (in Bb) must be written one tone higher. Which
means C# Major (7 sharps). But Db (its twin, 5 flats) exists also, and Dorico chooses it because of this option (Prefer enharmonic equivalent KS with fewer accidentals, in Notation Options > Accidentals):
I unchecked it and now your sax has a sharp KS.

Thanks!
I can’t find those options. Must not be included in SE. Anyone know if it is included in Elements?
I checked on the iPad version, this option is included. And as far as I know, Elements is more or less like iPad version. But I am not sure though, someone else will probably be able to confirm.
[Edit, @duncan.fyffe: I managed to open Dorico (5) in Elements version, this option is included.]
