Is it possible to recreate the second violins here? (change from divisi a 4 to unison and then to divisi a 2 in the same staff)
Dorico normally gives this, which is wrong (and even if I added a cutaway, is impractical when you have another 22 or so staves on the same page)
whereas with Manual Condensing, the staff looks right but the subsequent “unis” and “div” labels do not appear:
(The missing labels could potentially be faked with text, likewise other issues e.g. lack of a cautionary Violin I time signature at end of the prior system, although that’s not a problem once the rest of the orchestra has been added.)
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if this is just an ongoing issue and divisi/condensing will always have to be faked to some degree.
