Change Repeat Endings

Hello. Can you change it like the picture?

No, I don’t think this option exists, at least not without questionable workarounds.

I am not sure either, but you could put in a horizontal line?

I cross-graded from Finale to Dorico. This expression was possible in Finale, but it doesn’t work? There are parentheses with broken brackets in regular scores too… I used Google Translate. Please understand.

So? Dorico is not Finale. Dorico can do many things better than Finale. Finale can do some things that Dorico cannot (without workarounds). Here the workaround would be to use a LINE.

Please tell me how to do this. ^^

Your picture was quite clear, and there’s no problem with your English. It’s not my own language either, and we all do our best to make ourselves understandable… Sometimes the problem is that automatic translation services don’t understand musical terminology.
Edit, seeing your last post:
Again, I’m afraid Dorico doesn’t have this option like Finale, unless you try to fake it using the line tool, as Janus suggested. I haven’t tried it, but I think it can be difficult to get it exactly right.

You can do it with a horizontal line, but you have to make sure the line properties match the ones for the repeat ending, and you have to tweak the position of the line in Engrave mode.

Here’s the Dorico project file that shows this, and a library file from which you can import the line.

Project with repeat ending.dorico (429.8 KB)
First ending line.zip (1.2 KB)

Edit: The steps to make the line are a little complicated, and I can’t make a video right now. But you can unzip the second file and then use the Library Manager to import it, and the new line type should show up at the top of the Lines panel.

(Side note: @dspreadbury Can *.doricolib be added to the list of allowable file types for upload?)

Oh. I guess I have to apply it. Thank you. I hope someone uploads a video. ^^

How did you lengthen the end cap of the line-tool line? I found everything but that.

It’s the line annotations editor…

I don’t see the path to reach this screen.
Never mind: I found it (as well as they tried to hide it :smirk:).

You can set the first ending options in Engraving Options.

And the various line editors can all be accessed from the Library menu:

Or if you get to the Line Editor some other way, you can access the other ones from there:
