Is there a way to change the instrument sound for an instrument during the piece? For example, start a piano with a string patch and then measure 37 switch to a bass patch ? For this I’ll be using Halion Sonic. Thanks.
Hi @mameza7 , if you need another sound you can give the player another instrument (that will load the corresponding sound in Halion Sonic, as soon as some notes are written for it), and use Instrument Changes.

I am not sure if I understand your intent: do you want always a grand staff visible?: In this case you could start with a Player choosing in the instrument picker Sketch/Strings, and add a bass instrument to the same player.
And activate Allow instrument changes in Layout Options/Players.
If you want always to have a grand staff, you need to Edit the Instrument Definition (clicking in Setup Mode on the three dots, near the instrument name) for the bass instrument (that normally will only have one staff, and Braket instead of Brace):

You can also set the staff label to show the Player name, and edit the player name as desired. Ans you can set the Instrument-Change-Labels, in Layout Options, as desired.
