Hello. So I imported an OMF file from pro tools to cubase 11 and spent a considerable amount of time sorting the tracks, coloring them and gain staging just to realize the tempo is wrong. Can I change the tempo in Cubase and not affect any of the audio files?

Yes, set Musical Mode to not active for all the audio files, and Linear Timebase for the Audio tracks. (midi tracks should remain on Musical Timebase, which is the default.)
Now the audio will stay put in time, and your midi will scale.

Also … Do a “Save As” before making any changes, and make your changes only in the newly created project.
That way you always have a back up to go back to if things go so crazy you can’t undo yourself back to safety.
