Change the color of the bars

I would appreciate your advice on this. Is it possible to change the color of the bars in the Key Editor? Alternatively, can I change the color of the selected area? It is difficult to distinguish when the colors are too similar.

I’m not entirely sure what you are asking. Perhaps something like this?

Is this what you’re looking for? [image] I created a solid line body with a Line width of 4 and a line using that line body with the Placement set to Inside staff. Then I applied that line with the ends attached to barlines to each section of the piece. Finally, I selected each line and changed the Color property to the desired color with the Opacity on macOS or Alpha channel on Windows set to a small value to create a mostly transparent line.

Thank you for the information. However, I am not asking about anything complex; I simply want to know if it is possible to change the color of the bars themselves—which represent pitch and duration—in the Key Editor, or to change the color of a bar when it is selected.

Can you give us a screenshot of the kind of “bars” you mean?

I think the OP is perhaps wanting to change the colours in the key editor?..

Exactly! It’s particularly hard to tell when the color is in the same family as the sound you’ve selected during editing.

I don’t think it is possible (yet?) to choose the colours in the key editor.
