Change Time Signature Without Moving Chord Symbols Relative To Measures

I am using Dorico mostly for jazz lead sheets and small group arrangements. This often entails changing the time signature of a part of the score where chord symbols have already been filled in. With most other notation programs, chord symbols are attached to the measure and would stay with that measure, even if the time signature changes. In Dorico, the chord symbols are attached to their specific beat independently from measures, so they do not line up anymore, if the time signature is changed. Is there any way to change this? I really would like my chord symbols to stick with their respective measures.

I can’t remember off the top of my head what formulation would work here, but I think changing the time signature with Insert mode both active and set to the “global” scope could/should work.
