Changing a 4/4 bar to 5/4 and getting it to add the appropriate time

Yes I have forgotten how to do this

I put a 4/4 bar at say the fifth bar to prevent accidentally rebarring the rest of the piece but when I change the previous 4/4 bar to 5/5 it stays 4/4 rhythmically. What am I doing wrong

There are a number of ways, but essentially you need add extra time using one of the Insert Modes.

(which one is easiest depends on where you are starting from!)

Select the beat you want to append the missing quarter duration to and press SHIFT-B1q
