I’ve tried all the tips online and cannot seem to make this work. Any thoughts?
Just cut the slash region (by selecting a barline and clicking on the scissors button) and pull back on the handles!

Thanks so much for getting back to me Benji. Tried: so I selected the barline before the measure wanted to change back to normal, and tried to select scissors, but nothing happens, as in I don’t see anything to indicate that I can cut something or handles. Am I missing something? Thanks for your patience, I’m a Finale convert, mostly doing lead sheets for church band music.

Wait— I sort of see what you’re talking about, like cutting up the entire region. What I’m trying to do is turn measure 4 of an 8 measure slash region into a normal measure…hope that clarifies things. Thanks!!
Can you just delete the slash region, then create new slash regions before and after the measure you want to show regular?
Indeed. You might have to select the slash behind where you want to cut…
Once you’ve cut the region, “pull the curtains”, so to speak…
Thank you, Benji—I’ll try this and see how it works. Someone recommended to just copy one slash measure “RRRR…” so that each measure is an independent region. Either way, I want to be aware of all the possibilities. Thanks so much for your response!!!
