Changing midi ports in the Remote Editor

I have read the manual a couple of times; I think its essential to be able to modify the midi ports for a remote editor script whether factory, user defined or scripted
What about when you want to use virtual midi ports as a way of managing? ie you still want to use a control surface but with data stream from another port?
Or have missed something so simple?

I downloaded the latest patch but still can’t see a way to change the MIDI port after remote creation without totally destroying the remote. Am I missing something?

Yes, you can now “manually” activate your script using the BIG FAT PLUS button. There you can choose script and MIDI ports as you like.

Hmm…not sure you read the context maybe…always read the op carefully.

Right…so after its created and activated, you change the midi port assignment by?

I would assume logically that the ports would be edited…well under the port fields
