Is there a way to scale a single staff (for example in a piano trio) but without changing the staff line thickness. The thinner lines makes it feel unbalanced and thin. I prefer the LilyPond default behaviour that keeps the same the line thickness.

Welcome to the forum, Yentl. At the moment it’s not possible to maintain the same staff line thickness for smaller staves, but this is certainly something we could consider for future versions.
Thank you for the answer. I definitely think it would be worth considering, as I think the result with maintained lines looks very analogue and pleasing!
