Changing songs causes Cubase to lose connection with MR816

I don’t know if this is MR816 or Cubase related so I am starting here. My system is OSX 10.7.2 on a Mac Pro 2.66 quad w/ 16gigs of ram. All drivers for MR816 are latest and Cubase is 6.0.5.

What is happening is when I load a new project after having one previously loaded Cubase drops the MR816 as a VST ASIO device and the only way to get it back is to quit and restart Cubase. This seems very odd and wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them?

I found a work around but removing the MR extensions so that Cubase treats the MR816 as a regular interface. Now I just have to use the MR Editor if I want to direct monitor which is fine. This seems to therefore either be an issue with the MR extension or Cubase.
