In a document of several songs, is it possible to change the font style of just one of the song titles without affecting page overrides, or do I have to make the change in my Master Page and have all of the songs go to that new font?
So far I know, you can select any text item, and change its font type and loads of parameters (size, bold, italic, centered, etc) without effecting the others.
yeah, i did that, but still got the page override
Really? And is it a problem? Can you explain me why please! I always have several page overrides, and can’t see any disadvantage of it. I may be somehow wrong.
Well, im not sure really, but I’m making a book of songs and I’ve read that Page overrides aren’t ideal, tho i have no idea why
You can also create a page keeping all other parameters of the whole book but the title font type and than you can make the change without getting into the sin of overriding.
Page overrides aren’t evil, they’re just something it’s good to avoid until the end of your layout process. Once a page has overrides, it won’t respond to changes in the underlying page template. And in general, it’s a good idea to make changes to your template first, and then tweak individual pages at the end if you need to.
