Changing the midi imprint of a midi recording

I’m not sure how to word this, hence the title. The problem I have is when I record a passage on my midi keyboard into my dorico score, If I make a mistake, mostly when I’m late on the beat, if I then go a move the note then the midi that was recorded is still in its original position even thought the note itself has moved to where I want it.

The question is: is there a way of moving the midi recorded sound - or midi imprint - with the moving of the note, just like it would in Cubase?

Thanks

Hi @Stephane_Barbey,

Dorico has two display modes in the key editor: Notated Durations and Played durations:

If you want to remove the recorded (played) durations, and revert the playback lengths to their “quantised” state (to make so the Played Durations “similar” to the Notated durations- apart from the Humanisations set in Playback Options and/or in the Expression Map, that will still influence the Played Durations), you can select the notes and from menu Play choose Reset Playback Overrides.

More informations here:

There are also some Preferences for MIDI recording, that you may want to customise to your needs:

That is absolutely top notch solution. It is so simple yet I completely missed it. Thank you.
