Hi,
its possible to setup in settings for switch name of track while change vst instruments? It’s a bit annoying to me if the original title stays.
Thx so much! :))

Hi,
I’m not aware, it’s possible to set it this way.
As often as not the track name doesn’t match the instrument, eg a track might be named Brass #1. Changing the track name if a different brass instrument is used may be undesirable.
Perhaps yet another toggle in prefs? Track Takes Instrument Name.
That would be a great feature. It could be set up automatically, or users could enable the track name overwrite feature themselves:)))
How do you suggest this to work when you have multiple tracks having the same plugin loaded? Currently, upon loading, a number is added to differ them. What should happen once you change the plugin in one of these tracks?
Example:
I add 2 Retrologue instances. Cubase will auto-generate the names Retrologue 01 and Retrologue 02. Now, let’s say that I change the plugin of the second track to Padshop. What is the expectation? Should we now have it simply renamed to Padshop, or perhaps keep the 02 suffix, or else? The reason I ask, is because a tiny MIDI Remote can be built for this, but the rules should be thought carefully.
Or perhaps almost always undesirable.
