When I created a new project I set up the wrong working directory. How can I change it to the correct one?
I would :
- Create a new directory at the right place.
- Use the File > Back up Project command, choosing the newly created directory as the place that would receive the backup.
Thanks for the tip. I found what I think is an easier solution after I changed my “search” method. I simply changed the name of the “default” folder that was indicated. Then I moved the files to the folder I wanted.
When I opened the cpr file it asked for a project folder and I pointed to the correct one. In my previous Cubase it was simpler than that. Here is the post from2015:
- Open the project (in Cubase or by dbl-clicking on the .cpr filename)
- Find the path to the current project folder (Media/Pool Window) and remember it
- Close the project
- Find the project folder using your hard drive search utilities
- Rename the project folder (I just add “old” to the end of the folder name)
- Double-click on the .cpr project file
- Now, the file won’t open until designate a new “Project Folder”
- Once file is open and you are satisfied with the new Project Folder, you should save the file
Works for me.
