In the mixer I have a stack channel which has a guitar as an input and <nc> as an output. I don’t want to have a standard output, but rather send signal to some of the in-ear outputs via “SENDS”. When I’m switching song and switching back, the Stack/Stack Channel has “Stereo Out” as an output once again. Why can’t it save <nc>?
For now I use a workaround - create a channel which has <nc> as an output and set it as an output for the stack channel. This gets persisted, but it is a clunky way to do it.
Is it a bug that a stack channel can’t have <nc> as an output ot is it an expected behavior? I couldn’t find anything in the documentation about it.
Yes, it behaves this way. I tried with version 3.0.40 and have the same result. It should save the routing, I’m sure. It’s a bug, @musicullum, @Spork !
Additional Song Group (channel) as a target is good auxilary workaround, it gives you also additional inserts and sends
It creates a default output when none is found, which is usually only the case when it is created from scratch (not loading from default). “I don’t hear anything”…
With the next version we’ll keep track of that and it should keep nc as expected.
I had a similar issue when I changed all the stack outputs to a different channel (from “Stereo out” to “Song Name” or vice versa). When I closed the project and reopened it, many outputs went back to where they were before. The solution was to change one song, save, close the project, open again, change the next song and repeat the procedure. A little bit tedious but at least it worked.
