Setup then save a configuration here:
Close mixer window and back to arranger window
Return again to mixer window
All the configuration settings have reset themselves and no longer recall what you saved

Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?
What Cubase version exactly do you use, please? What OS d you use? Do you open the very same MixConsole (you know, there are 3 MixConsole windows, plus the Lower Zone mixConsole)?

Yes I open the very same one, mixConsole 1 (F3/1st in list), not the Lower Zone mixConsole.
If you still need, I may be able to video screenshot it happening.
Will try Cubase Safe Mode, but FYI I have recently purged preferences.
PS further to last message I cannot at the moment get it to repeat in safe-mode.

Then I would recommend to backup and trash the preferences.
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% Steinberg/Cubase X_64
OK I see. I had recently deleted my defaults and user preferences, but I can try a wholesale delete.
