Hi
I am having a problem with the Chord Pad in Cubase 9.5.
I load halion 3 sonic SE. open an instrument track.
Open Chord Pad expecting it to work and I cannot get any sounds form it.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.

Hi,

What do you mean by “open Instrument track”, please?

You have to setup, what track is playing the generated chords back. To do so, enable record of the Instrument track.

I havn’t Made it very clear have I.

On Cubase 8.5 all I have to do is open up the chord pad and it plays.
On 9.5 this doesn’t happen.
So I try opening up an instrument track with Halion sonic as the output.
I can drag chords into the track and they play but the chord pad is completely silent.
This surely is wrong

Sorry, once again… What do you mean by “opening up an Instrument track”, please? Do you mean to add an Instrument track?

Is the record enabled on the track?

Could you provide a screenshot, please?

Yes I do mean add an instrument track and yes I do use the enable

I have at last managed to send you the screen pic, and hope this helps, but why does it work in Cubase 8.5 and not in 9 or 9.5?

Hi,

Probably some settings is different in Cubase 8.5. I would probably try in Safe Start Mode or trash Cubase preferences.
