I notice that whether set up as Solo or Section singers, “Choir (reduction)” loads _sections_ for each vocal range.

To load one singer per vocal range, would one instead have to use [Reducing music onto fewer staves](https://steinberg.help/dorico_pro/v3.5/en/dorico/topics/write_mode/write_mode_arranging_tools/write_mode_arranging_reducing_t.html?hl=reduction) ?

Thanks!

When you say “loading”, are you talking about the HALion player’s samples?

I don’t think there are any solo voice samples in HALion.

Thanks, benwiggy – that would certainly explain it! 😉

Other libraries, like Noteperformer, have Solo and Choir vocal instruments, and they will respond to the Solo/Section status of a player.

Thanks!
I have other libraries – but have delayed trying them in Dorico while beginning to learn it – but this is good to know! 😃
