Hello all,
I would like to know how to manually condense 3 instrumentalists playing chords to 1 stem.
That is to say the chord are divided into 3 and on a single stem.
If we look at the beginning Dorico does it by indicating all.
Then I need another condensation, but it’s impossible to put 1a, 2a, 4 on the same staff without having the chord divided into 3.
But Dorico should be able to do it, since it does it at the beginning.
Please help me
I’ve attached the file
Is this what you want?

I changed what you had in Layout Options > Players > Condensing > Custom condensing groups, and also deleted the condensing change at bar 5.
That’s not exactly the problem.
It’s when I do manual condensation, I can’t get the result you’re showing me here.
If the problem is that you don’t want to see multiple noteheads on the same stem for each of the three instruments that are condensed, I also find that simply deleting the condensing change at the start of the second system is sufficient to produce simple three-note chords.
My interpretation of what Laurent also wanted was that Akk. 3a and 3b should be together on a separate staff, not condensed onto the same staff as Akk. 1a and 2a. That’s why I changed the custom condensing groups from one group containing Akk. 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b and 4, to three groups, namely:
Akk. 1a and 2a;
Akk 1b, 2b and 4;
Akk. 3a and 3b.
My reason for thinking like this is that in his condensing change the instruments on the three staves were grouped that way.
Yes Daniel I agree with you, but.
My problem is not at the beginning but if I make a change of condensation at some point of the musical piece.
There Dorico does not react as at the beginning if I have 3 musicians who play the same chords.
Hello, I tried to reproduce the unisons of the chords through the mode change of manual condensation and nothing works.
I think there must be a bug.
